SELF-CONSUMPTION is the energy that we produce in our photovoltaic installation and we do not need to buy it from the electricity grid and this energy does not have taxes.
TYPES OF SELF-CONSUMPTION:
1. INSTANT SELF-CONSUMPTION
When we use solar energy for our consumption, and we cannot
SELLING THE SURPLUS ENERGY through the electrical network, we do not optimize our panels as much as possible. (see Compensated self-consumption)
2. SELF-CONSUMPTION WITH BATTERIES
When we use solar energy for our consumption and
WE STORE THE EXCESS OF ENERGY in batteries, this energy can be used at night. The cost of batteries is relatively high, so it is more economical to use the following options presented below.
3. SHARED SELF-CONSUMPTION
When the solar installation belongs to two or more households.
THE SURPLUS ENERGY THAT ONE OWNER MAY BE USED BY THE OTHER OWNER This is an option for apartment buildings and townhomes.
4. COMPENSATED SELF-CONSUMPTION
When we use solar energy for our consumption, and
WE SELL THE SURPLUS ENERGY to the electricity company and receive financial compensation. It is one of the most profitable options of the moment in Spain.
